Hi ...
I have massive writer's block ...
Studio Ghibli is one of my absolute favourite animation studio ever. From the first time I watched one of their animation which is 'The Grave of Firefilies' directed by Isao Takahata and 'Spirited Away' by Hayao Miyazaki. Both of that animations really brought me into the 'Ghibli World'. And then I watched Future Boy Conan or Mirai Shounen Konan, an old anime series that thankfully my local tv channel aired that, I fall in love.
I fall in love with the artwork, I fall in love with the storyboard, and I fall in love with all of their message every movie, every animation. I fall in love with both of their directors. Like, thanks for creating them God ...
SO! I am really excited when, in Twitter, Sherina, Indonesian singer that loves Ghibli too, asks to her followers (that I am one of her follower in Twitter) 'will you attend an event with Ghibli?' or something like that. I don't remember because it was a year ago. Same goes with Masove that I follow in Twitter, he is a graphic designer, I guess ... And because I really excited (thay had poll in that question), I thought, this should really happen! I definitely will go there! I don't care if I'm going alone that day, but I should go no matter what.
So, it is really happening! They make pre-event which is airing couple of their animations in movies theater for a week every month starting in April ... I guess ... I don't remember ... I just come for My Neighbour Totoro, because ... yea you know, work ... I watched with my brother in May.
But, the most exciting things happen in August 19! Yes, the main Ghibli event is an exhibition! They hold the exhibition for 39 days, I believe ... and I attend it in August 19, not alone, but with friends.
See, I am with friends ... I've told about this event before they announce the date of exhibition though ... and kinda forced them ... sorry ... By the way that's what we get before we get into the exhibition. A massive panels with 'The World of Ghibli' and their 'G' logo written on it.
This thing from Nausicaa of The Valley of The Wind, Ohmu, it can move and make a noise that I can't explain. My friend Fajar doesn't want to take a photo with Ohmu. He says that Ohmu creeps him.
Sometimes I confused, there's some movie that they make it really impressive, but some movie they just make it, like 'let's have a backdrop and make something pop up a little bit' you know what I mean? Like Ohmu is really impressive ... Well, but afterall this is still good though ... for a handmade. By the way this is Omoide no Marnie's set.
We are really lucky to meet Kaonashi from Spirited away. He really is scary if you look closely.
Totoro's and Cat Bus from My Neighbour Totoro really have a looooooooong line ... they are so fluffy and I always want to hug Totoro ... Totoro is my spirit animal.
I'm not showing all of the exhibition properties because you should come here if you really curious, and they haven't finished making it yet. Like, Arietty's set, Mononoke Hime's set still missing the deer, and Laputa I guess ... I don't know what else, but those three haven't finished yet.
If you have plan visiting this place, come early ... and bring much money, their merchandise is pretty expensive and come when all of this properties has finished. Ouuu, and yeah everyday they have jam or something, playing Ghibli songs and they are really good, if you don't want to come into the exhibition, just watch them ... nah, just kidding ...
I am sorry I have my face in all of the photos ... I should really paid more attention to the place though ... and a new camera ... because my phone isn't good enough ...
