Hi ...

Long time no see, isn't it? I know I'm not stick with the schedule, so firstly, I want to say that, I will just posting one post every week, because (yes, I already said it multiple times) that I am an employee right know, I get really busy with my work, I am handling one big project and the deadline is in three months, so maybe and I hope, just in this three months, I'll posting once a week, and the rest will up twice a week. I am really sorry ... 

Haaaah ....

Right! So, last Wednesday (?), 15 February 2017, my town, my city, hold an election. In one post, I said that I live in Bandung, right? Yeah, near Bandung to be honest, I said in Bandung is just to because Bandung is more big and modern than my town which is Cimahi, and those two towns is just like very, very close. I can go to Bandung in ten minutes, though ...

SO, YEAH! Cimahi hold mayoral elections ... yeay (?) 

Well, to be really honest, I don't know all the candidates are. I just knew we're having an elections two weeks before, can you imagine? Well, because Jakarta has an elections too and all of the news is all about Jakarta while there's a lot of another places are having election in the same day, so I completely blank about my town election and all the candidates. (or I just don't really care? It's bad though ... I should pay attention more for my town ...)

Our president, Jokowi, set this date, 15 February, a national holiday for people to vote, so everyone have to vote like or not. My workplace of course gave us a day off, but my boss said "which one day you like to have a day off? Wednesday or Saturday?" (yes, I have work on Saturday, I work six days a week, problem?) and we all answered, Saturday even though I should do vote before went to work.

I came late to work, of course I told my boss a day before. You know I don't know these people, so I just hope that I choose the right one. Well, if I live in Jakarta I would definitely know which one to choose, but I live in Cimahi and they're not really popular like Jakarta, so ... 

And this is the first time my lil' bro do vote! He is seventeen and when we went to the voting place, he's a little peeved because, like me, he didn't who to choose, so the place has posters about all the candidates vision and mission for my town, and when he starts to read it, the election officers calls him in and he has no idea. 

My first vote time is like my lil' bro, mayor election and like him, I don't have any idea and just punching the nails to one of the candidates. I forgot who, but I voted anyway. Is it bad or not? Because I don't know ...

That's literally means, I don't know who to shoose so I close my eyes while choosing (kinda)

If you wondering, why I have something on my pinky? That's the proof we've got when we done voting and I don't know why it is purple. 

Literally, we have three pair candidates. The first candidate is rubbish because she (yes, a woman) has involved in a corruption or something with her husband which is our mayor before her. They both get arrested after she signed as a candidate, that's why she still in run. Their bad politics really flowing in their blood bacause the third candidate is still their frikkin' relatives! Can you believe that? Our town is like a kingdom, run by their frikkin' bad family. I am so angry ...


I AM SORRY ... 

I didn't vote for those people, you know who I vote though, haha. I read a couple of articles a day before to give me light. I just read one article and the most interesting one is the first and third candidates keep report each other to the autorized people (?). I don't know what their problems are, but that's so childish ... 

Ck ... that's my story guys. How's your election go? Is it good? Is it bad? Or you just don't care? I hope you care ... So, thanks for reading hope you enjoy it ...

Oh, oh!

After work, I went to bookstore and when I just to pay, there's a little very cute kid in front of cashier, check an item out, and suddenly he run away from cashier without paying, and the clerk starts to panicking "who's gonna pay for that?" and "please, stop that kid" to the other staff but she didn't hear it.

He run off to the stairs, keep saying "we don't need plastic bag" or something but he didn't climb the stairs, he still there. And there his  father come giving him some money to pay and the kid run, cutting off the queue to the cashier. His father yells "hei, hei, don't cut the line" kinda like that, because he didn't know his son already check his item out. Then, his father kinda feel guilty and said "sorry, I didn't know that my son already check it out."

But, his son is so cute. He's so clever and confident. I and the other custumers just gigling saw that little cute kid.

I am late, I know ... and I am sorry. I've been busy working this week, because guess what? I'm not a temporary jobless anymore! I am working in a architecture consultant, but, don't worry, I still doing blog for part-time like before, and maybe I'll have more stories to tell.

So, in this post I am gonna review beautiful graphic and relaxing game, like I always do, and this time is Polyforge! (oh, please, is there anything else you can do? reviewing game is a lame post ...) (nah, just shut up)

This is just a very simple game, all you have to do is just a simple tap. Oh, yeah, every game that I review are always 'simple tap' thing. But, this is the difference, this game test your reflex. Sounds scary didn't it? Nah, just joking ...

Do you love art?

Why am I asking you this?

I don't know but, this game really test your reflex. Basically, you have an object, spinning object, with many sides and we called it diamond. And the other hand you have an arrow, which is spinning, too. The arrow gives glow to the diamond, so tap the screen to striking the diamond with glow in every sides. Do not strike in the same place, you'll start it again if you do. It will form a new shape, if you complete glowing all sides. Very simple isn't it?




So, why are asking readers with that questions?

Well, you know me, every game that I review, if it has beautiful graphic or story line, I'll review it, so this time, this game really aesthetic looking. Like every, it will changing colours and all the colours have a really good combination. Like soft grey and pink, blue and yellow sunrise colour, or firery looking with red and oranges. It is made beautifully.

Beautiful colours aren't they?

Diamonds! Yes, the object, the shape that we'll forge it, will change every level and not with common shapes like square, triangle, or something like that. The shapes are kinda unique and will have different colour matching with background colour.

And the music. Yes, I will not forget it. It is relaxing, really, you should wear headphones for the best experience and everytime you tap, it's sound like piano key in harmony. Well, if you strike the side twice, the piano sound will sounds like off key.

This game was developed by ImpactBlue Studios and released in July 2016. I know I am so late, but this still worth it though ... This game has two game play, the first one is the leveling type, complete the level to jump to anotehr level, and the other one os the endless type, like how many strikes can you do in a row, if you hit the same side twice, the shape become smaller until puff gone in less than five second ... ahaha ...

So, guys, sunshine ... ahh remember about me rambling about what should I call you, my reader? I decided to call you, my reader, sunshine. It's me again! For you who new here, hello, my name is Arum, a used to be temporary jobless and doing unpaid part-time blogging. I am, this year, turn 23 year old and I have flat emotionless face. Welcome!

As you may know I am graduated from architecture major, and I wanna share 'what you must have when you're starting you architecture major' in my point of view. I just want to share, you don't have to buy it, really, I am serious. And I try the most economical and very affordable things for students.

Let's get started!

A. Writing Instrument
1. Sketch Pencil
Regular 2B or HB pencil is okay.

2. Mechanic Pencil
Mechanical pencil that I use for drawing are the regular 0.5mm pencil and 0.35mm pencil from Rotring. The 0.35mm Rotring pencil is kinda expensive but very useful for thin and narrow lines.

3. Regular Pen
Any pen is okay, don't forget to include red pen or blue pen. Me, personally really like sketching with red pen, or any colour you like.

4. Drawing Pen
This drawing is to thickening lines. I recommended you to use 0.05, 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 drawing pen thickness (sorry my poor English in this sentence). Some people use rapidograph but it's expensive, so I use drawing pen instead.

5. Highlighter Pen
We need different colour to colouring like zoning, circulation, and notes of course.

B. Drawing Instrument
1. Colour Pencil
Any colour pencil you like.

2. Water Colour
Don't forget the brush and the pallete. Well, if you too lazy to bring those three, just use KOI Sakura Water Colour, easier.

3. Shadowing Pen
This one you don't have too, just use grey colour pencil or water colour, but why not if you want.

C. Measurement Instrument
1. 30cm Ruler
Just forget flat ruler under 30cm, this one is the shortest one for flat ruler.

2. 60cm Ruler
Paper we use isn't small, A3 size is the smallest. Well, if you have this, you don't have to get the 30cm one.

3. Penggaris Dewa or The Almighty Ruler
The most immportant ruler in all of rulers ... ('The Almighty Ruler' - Chris 2017) Originally named, Geo Set Square, in this is like all in one ruler. You will not need protactor anymore because it is there, in the Geo Set Square. I don't know how to explain it, just click here for information.

4. Double Triangle Ruler
Well, the one has 45 degree and the other one is 30 degree angle. These two is immportant too.

5. Furniture Ruler
This one is like furniture templates. This is kinda expensive though ... like this, kinda, just for example.

6. Compass
You need one, really ... just use the regular one ...

D. Model Instrument (Things that I use when I make a 3D model)
1. Cutter
Any cutter, best with 30 degree cutter.

2. Stainless Steel Ruler
Just don't ruin you flat plastic ruler you have, use this. Remember, above 30cm is the most recommended.

3. Glue
Any glue, white glue is the most glue I recommend and styrofoam glue, it's different, alright. 

4. Cutter Base
If you have glass surface (maybe your dining table) you don't need this, but if you don't have, maybe you need this one. Just search for a piece of board.

E. Books and Paper
1. Sketch Book
You definitely need this though ... where are you gonna draw without this?

2. Note Book
Teories are immportant, too, do not forget.

3. Any Size Paper
Paper for drawing though. White manila paper is the cheapest paper you can get, but for water colour, doesn't work. Canson paper is save for water colour, a little expensive, so just use it for doing some perspective.

4. Tracing Paper
I use white baking paper instead, it's cheaper, in my country though ...

F. Filling and Storage
1. Paper Tube or Designer Portofolio Bag
Well, any bag that will not ruin your work papers though ... to keep it save from sun and rain, work papers is half of your life ...

2. File Folder
Too much paper, I can't handle it!

G. Other
1. Paper Clip
You know the purpose of this thing right?

2. Masking Tape
To prevent you drawing from nudge (?) You know what I mean ...

3. Stapler
Yea ...

I think this is it. I forgot what else, but I use this in my first year and I know this is a lot! Architecture really cost a lot of money ...!! But, having all of this is not necessarily you can be good architect. Architect is not about tools, but creativity, sense, and willingness, alright? (Haaah ... what am I doing ...)

In this post I'll talk about 'why are you write in English?' 

As you have know, I live in a country called Indonesia, of course English is not my native languange. Indonesia has their own languange and their local languanges as well. I speak in Bahasa Indonesia, as you may know that the word 'bahasa' is 'languange' in English. People mistaken this so much saying 'I can speak bahasa' or something like that, and that's literally means 'I can speak languange', weird isn't it? 'Bahasa Indonesia' means 'Indonesian Languange', get that? Ahaha, you should.

So! 

'Why I post in English not Indonesian? You have so many grammar and spelling mistakes in all of your post and sometimes we don't understand what you wrote.'

'Do you really love your country?' 

'Do you use it so you can get attention from people because you think you have 'perfect' English and because English is so popular right now in Indonesia?'

Well, calm down sunshine ...

Yes, I have so many grammar and spelling mistakes. I know because sometimes I don't even understand what I wrote, but I give it a go first. I do love my country, seriously. And I don't use English so I can get attention from people.

Pfft ... seriously, why would I use English to boast my self up? Who could think like that?

I have two reasons why I post, why I write in English. The main reason is so people around the world can read what I wrote, can understand my mindset, and meet new friends through writing. And the other reason is to keep learning English. You know it, I have a lot grammar and spelling mistakes in my write, so if I keep writing in English, I will know where did I do wrong so I can fix it in another post and not make the same mistakes again.

And below this is my story with studying English, be ready ... ha ... ha ... ha ...

My first encounter with English is when I was three or four years old in kindergarden. The first words they taught me is numbers from one to ten. The little me don't understand why 'one' is pronounced like 'wan' not, how to explain ...'o-ne' (?) I don't know, if you Indonesian, you'll know. Why is your kindergarden taught you English in such a young age? No, that's the first and the last time they teach us English in Kindergarden. Besides numbers, I just know two other words in English, and that are 'cat' and 'dog'.....

In middle school I had three different English teacher in my whole three years in middle school. They changed it every year, and all of them are in a status 'killer' teacher. They are so grumpy! If we make a mistakes, they will be angry and yelled at us 'kok, kayak gini aja gabisa?' or literally means 'why can't you do something this?' or something that can reduce our confidence in learning English. Well, I don't know why they do that, stress maybe, teaching 40 people in one class, but one thing for sure is 'I hate English' when I'm in middle school.

I started to love English when my English improved suddenly when I was in highschool. My highschool is a billingual school and there is native (?) no, they're not native, they're Turkish, but okay from another country who still not 'speak' Indonesian, yet. They can but, yea ... you know what I mean ... 

So, from the start of school, we had summer school is where we learn English from very basic to a little bit above basic for three months. The way my highschool's teachers taught us is very different from my teachers in middle school. Way more fun and we don't get blamed if we're wrong and that's why I still learning English, writing in English, and trying to speak English more. (And because learning English in highschool I can skip English class in collage and still get A)

And there you have it, right? Why I learn English. I still have to learn grammar which I still not 'gut nuf', but now I enjoying listening to English speakers, talking with different accent and reading English books that I love the most in English. Well, I still have to correct my pronounciation, though ... No problem still have time to learn. It's okay if you still have terrible grammar, we are learn from the same point and of course we can get at the same point, too. Alright, thank you for reading, have a nice day ...
